The Great Depression

My life changed dramatically during the Great Depression. I have one child that I raise on my own. We did not have that bad of a life before the stock market crash and I did not have to worry everyday that my child would not be fed. While my family and I were affected by the Great Depression, we lived in what was called a Squatter camp with other families like us. If I could turn back time, I would not have invested any money in the stock market because it ruined my life. I was grateful to have some sort of roof over my head during that time, but it would have been so much better if I was living in an actual house with food and water. I feel confident that President Roosevelt will help us come out of the depression. The New Deal programs are helping many other people get back on their feet making money and I'm hoping we can too.
